Soccer Game Preview: Northern Durham vs. Riverside-Durham + How To Watch

The Northern Durham Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Riverside-Durham Pirates at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Northern Durham's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Northern Durham came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against East Chapel Hill, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Northern Durham can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 346th, while East Chapel Hill are ranked 56th).

Meanwhile, Riverside-Durham fell victim to Chapel Hill and their airtight defense on Thursday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that Riverside-Durham have lost by just one goal.

Riverside-Durham's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-4. As for Northern Durham, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15-2.

Northern Durham suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to Riverside-Durham when the teams last played on October 9th. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Knights were down 3-0.
