Baseball Recap: Head-Royce's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Head-Royce waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Redwood Christian Eagles by a score of 5-1. This was payback for the Jayhawks, who suffered a 12-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Ezra Goldfarb made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Goldfarb was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Graham Sanger, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Head-Royce's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Redwood Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Head-Royce will be taking part in a tournament against Oakland Tech at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Jayhawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Redwood Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Edison at 5:00 p.m. on the 14th.
