Baseball Game Preview: Santa Rita Eagles vs. Benson Bobcats

Santa Rita is 0-6 against Benson since February of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Bobcats at 4:00 p.m.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Santa Rita lost 19-2 to Desert Christian.

Santa Rita saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emmeric Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Benson had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over San Miguel on Thursday. The Bobcats not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 2nd (when they won 17-0).

Santa Rita's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Benson, their win bumped their record up to 7-9-1.

Santa Rita might still be hurting after the 21-1 loss they got from Benson in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
