Volleyball Recap: Oasis Academy Comes Up Short

Oasis Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Battle Mountain Longhorns. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 21-25, 25-19, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Alexis Rangel, who had six digs and four aces.

Oasis Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Battle Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Oasis Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against West Wendover on the 18th. As for Battle Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Yerington on the 18th.
