Volleyball Game Preview: Somerset Academy Panthers vs. Mourning Sharks

For the second straight game, Somerset Academy will face off against Mourning. The Panthers will square off against the Sharks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Somerset Academy is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Somerset Academy heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Tuesday. They came up short against Mourning, falling 3-0.

Somerset Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Mourning work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 26-24, 25-13.

Somerset Academy better focus on containing Sadie Dunham and Mila Besharat as the pair were huge in Mourning's win. Dunham had five digs and four aces, while Besharat had 16 digs and four assists. That's the most assists Besharat has posted since back in September.

Mourning was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They are 6-3 when they serve at least ten aces.

Somerset Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Mourning, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.
