Baseball Preview: Windber Ramblers vs. Meyersdale Red Raiders
The Windber Ramblers will head out on the road to challenge the Meyersdale Red Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Windber is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
On Monday, Windber had just enough and edged Penn Cambria out 6-5. The win was just what Windber needed coming off of a 10-0 loss in their prior game.
Logan Serenko was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. Cole Mash was another key contributor, scoring a run while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Meyersdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. Their tough 7-1 loss to Southern might stick with them for a while.
Meyersdale saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Sechler, who went 3-for-4 with a stolen base.
The victory got Windber back to even at 2-2. As for Meyersdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
