Baseball Game Preview: Muenster Hornets vs. Lovelady Lions

The Muenster Hornets will face off against the Lovelady Lions at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Muenster is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Muenster gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bowie, sneaking past 3-2.

Meanwhile, Lovelady has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They came up short against Edgewood, falling 14-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lions have suffered since April 12, 2024.

Lovelady saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady McCullough, who fired off two home runs while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave McCullough a new career-high.

Lovelady's loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Muenster, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Muenster came out on top in a nail-biter against Lovelady in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. Does Muenster have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lovelady turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
