Basketball Recap: Central Heights Takes a Loss

Central Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-37 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jayhawk Linn Jayhawks. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 32-31 back in December of 2024.

Central Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Jayhawk Linn, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Central Heights is taking a road trip to challenge Northeast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northeast has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Jayhawk Linn, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Uniontown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Uniontown will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Jayhawk Linn surely won't give up without a fight.
