Recap: Bear River Bears vs. American Prep WV Eagles
Even though the American Prep WV Eagles scored an imposing 62 points on Friday, the Bear River Bears still came out on top. Bear River managed a 66-62 win over American Prep WV. The score was all tied up 31-31 at the break, but Bear River was the better team in the second half.
Bear River got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bridger Barfuss out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Barfuss is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Gehrig Marble was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Bear River now has a winning record of 2-1. As for American Prep WV, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-1.
Bear River's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Uintah at 4:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Uintah will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Bear River is ranked 12th). American Prep WV's road trip will continue as they head out to face Union at 2:30 p.m. on December 2nd.
