Football Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends New Diana's Winning Streak + How To Watch

After flying high against Winona two weeks ago, New Diana came back down to earth. The Eagles took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Rusk Raiders on Friday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Judson Dotson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 85 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 147 yards and one touchdown for West Rusk. 80 of Dotson's passing yards were hauled in by Kameron Brown.

The defeat snapped New Diana's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record. As for West Rusk, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Coincidentally, New Diana and West Rusk will both be playing Troup the next time they take the field. The Eagles will host the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Raiders will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
