Ouachita Parish has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Franklin Parish has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Ouachita Parish Lions will be home for the holidays to greet the Franklin Parish Patriots at 5:00 p.m.

Ouachita Parish is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Louisiana's top teams: Wossman, who was ranked 11th at the time (Ouachita Parish was ranked third). Ouachita Parish fell just short of Wossman by a score of 49-47 on Saturday. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Franklin Parish narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Thibodaux 48-46. The 48-point effort marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Ouachita Parish's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Franklin Parish, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Ouachita Parish didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Franklin Parish in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 43-37 victory.
