Basketball Recap: Preston Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Preston proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 22) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Latta Panthers 40-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pirates have posted since November 22, 2024.

Preston is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Latta, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Preston has already played their next game, a 49-37 win against Hartshorne on the 24th. As for Latta, they will challenge Dale at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dale knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Latta likes a good challenge.
