Baseball Game Preview: Mankato East Cougars vs. Owatonna Huskies

The Mankato East Cougars will venture away from home to take on the Owatonna Huskies at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Mankato East faced off against Century on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-4.

Meanwhile, Owatonna posted their closest win since May 14, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out John Marshall 11-10. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Rockets: they've now won nine in a row.

Owatonna's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Mankato East, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Mankato East was able to grind out a solid victory over Owatonna in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
