Volleyball Recap: Littleton Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Littleton duked it out with D'Evelyn on Monday. The Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

While Littleton ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 22-25, 25-20.

Sophia Rodriguez paced Littleton's offense, picking up 15 kills. Rodriguez got some help from Camryn Alfstad and her 25 assists. Rodriguez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Littleton has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for D'Evelyn, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-13.
