Softball Game Preview: Alabama Christian Academy Eagles vs. Montgomery Academy Eagles

Alabama Christian Academy will head out to face off against Montgomery Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Alabama Christian Academy's last matchup with Prattville Christian Academy could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Eagles lost 14-1 to the Panthers. The Eagles have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Alabama Christian Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madolyn Traywick, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Meanwhile, Montgomery Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 18-2 to Saint James, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Alabama Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Montgomery Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Everything went Alabama Christian Academy's way against Montgomery Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Alabama Christian Academy made off with an 8-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Alabama Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
