Baseball Recap: Bethlehem Takes a Loss

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Bethlehem and Poplar Springs have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Wildcats lost 13-3 to the Atomics. The Wildcats have struggled against the Atomics recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Bethlehem's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Poplar Springs, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Bethlehem wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-7 loss against Laurel Hill on the 7th. As for Poplar Springs, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Cottondale at 6:00 p.m. The Atomics' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
