Massac County had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Marion Wildcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Massac County easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-11.

Lydia McCraw paced Massac County's offense, picking up seven kills. McCraw got some help from Hannah Edwards and her 19 assists. Logann Miller and Hallee Smallman kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Massac County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Frankfort on the 28th. As for Marion, they will take on Anna-Jonesboro at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
