Battle Mountain gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Rifle Bears as they made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Battle Mountain was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-5, 25-10.

Rifle dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Battle Mountain and Rifle will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Huskies see the court they'll take on Summit at 6:30 p.m. on September 9. As for Rifle, their break will end when they face Glenwood Springs at 6:30 p.m. on September 16.
