Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jabari Green and James Harris Lead Cleveland to Victory

Cleveland won the last time they faced Fuquay - Varina and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cleveland Rams secured a 68-63 W over the Fuquay - Varina Bengals. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Bengals are ranked 360th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Cleveland to victory were James Harris and Jabari Green. Harris posted 28 points and six rebounds, while Green earned 23 points and five boards. Those 28 points gave Harris a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tjay Brunson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 15 rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Fuquay - Varina lost, don't look at Abdou Diop. Despite the final result, he went 10 of 21 on his way to 28 points. That was a full 44.4% of Fuquay - Varina's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. Nathan Mathew was another key player, going 6 for 10 en route to 16 points and seven boards.

Cleveland's record is now 14-3. As for Fuquay - Varina, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Cleveland has already played their next matchup, a 76-49 win against Corinth Holders on the 31st. As for Fuquay - Varina, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-62 loss against Garner on the 4th.
