Burns lost against Highland Tech back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. The loss was Burns' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Burns fell to 8-1-1. As for Highland Tech, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Burns wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 6-1 win against West Lincoln on the 17th. As for Highland Tech, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Lincolnton on the 17th.
