Basketball Recap: Brownstown Bombers vs. St. Anthony Bulldogs
The Brownstown Bombers have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 80-67 to St. Anthony on Thursday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brownstown in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.
Brownstown lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dayana Haslett, who scored 22 points. Lexi Seabaugh was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Brownstown's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-7. As for St. Anthony, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 22-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brownstown will challenge the Trojans at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Anthony, they will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
