Volleyball Recap: Legend Comes Up Short

Legend lost against Douglas County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Titans fell 3-1 to the Huskies.

The final score came out to 25-20, 22-25, 25-15, 25-23.

Grant Marine paced Legend's offense, picking up 13 kills. Marine got some help from James Titterington and his 29 assists. Finally, Alex Marine kept Legend's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Leading Douglas County to victory were Adriano Padilla and Charlie Worcester. Padilla had 12 digs and three assists, while Worcester had 12 digs, five kills, and one block. Those 12 digs gave Worcester a new career-high.

Legend's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-10. As for Douglas County, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Legend didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against ThunderRidge on the 22nd. As for Douglas County, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Pomona on the 19th.
