Soccer Game Preview: Raleigh Charter vs. Research Triangle

The Raleigh Charter Phoenix will take on the Research Triangle Raptors on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Raleigh Charter is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Franklin Academy. The result kept Raleigh Charter happy, as they haven't lost a game since October 8th.

Meanwhile, while the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Research Triangle who was credited with the win on Monday. The Raptors got it done in the shootout by posting eight goals to East Wake Academy's seven. Research Triangle's winning goal came courtesy of Matias Camacho.

Raleigh Charter is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those five matches. As for Research Triangle, their win bumped their record up to 15-6-3.
