Ironton strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Rock Hill Redmen with a sharp 10-2 win. Considering the Fighting Tigers have won five games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Carson Freeman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. Freeman was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Tyler Roach was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Ian Ginger was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Ironton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Ironton's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Rock Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Ironton will host Dawson-Bryant at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rock Hill, they will challenge Chesapeake at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.93 runs per game on average), something the Redmen will no doubt try to take advantage of.
