Football Game Preview: Pendleton Bulldogs vs. Travelers Rest Devildogs + How To Watch

The Pendleton Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Travelers Rest Devildogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Travelers Rest took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Pendleton, who comes in off a win.

Pendleton will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven points on September 12th, then bounced right back against Carolina Academy on Friday. The Bulldogs claimed a resounding 41-6 victory over the Trojans. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-0.

Pendleton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Zymire Collymore, Jorden Mattress, and Jace Harrison-Whitner picked up one apiece. Mattress has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last four times he's played.

Meanwhile, Travelers Rest managed to keep up with Greer until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Devildogs lost 30-7 to the Yellow Jackets. The Devildogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pendleton's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Travelers Rest, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.

Pendleton took their victory against Travelers Rest in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 by a conclusive 41-16 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
