Basketball Game Preview: Monona Grove Silver Eagles vs. Waunakee Warriors

The Monona Grove Silver Eagles will square off against the Waunakee Warriors at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Monona Grove beat Watertown 73-68. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Silver Eagles.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Waunakee, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against DeForest by a score of 65-52 on Tuesday.

Monona Grove's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Waunakee, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Things could have been worse for Monona Grove, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 79-65 loss to Waunakee in their previous meeting back in February. Can Monona Grove avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
