Football Game Preview: Shawnee Renegades vs. Lenape Indians

The Shawnee Renegades will head out to square off against the Lenape Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games Shawnee has played have been within three points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Shawnee made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Rancocas Valley, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Renegades fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 17-14 on Friday. While the Renegades didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Red Devils 7-0 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Shawnee had strong showings from Tyler Nickles, who rushed for 75 yards and one TD, and Cole Anderson, who rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Lenape was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Eastside, falling 26-3.

Lenape's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Shawnee, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Shawnee strolled past Lenape in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a score of 28-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Renegades since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
