Soccer Game Preview: Sedro-Woolley vs. Anacortes

Sedro-Woolley is 0-8-2 against Anacortes since April of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cubs will take on the Seahawks at 7:00 p.m.

Sedro-Woolley came up short against Mount Vernon on Saturday, falling 5-1. Sedro-Woolley have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Anacortes and Nooksack Valley meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Seahawks never let the Pioneers get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The victory continues a trend for Anacortes in their matchups with Nooksack Valley: they've now won nine in a row.

Sedro-Woolley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5-2. As for Anacortes, their win bumped their record up to 9-4-2.

Sedro-Woolley might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Anacortes when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Cubs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
