Recap: Follett Panthers vs. McLean Tigers
The Follett Panthers lost against the McLean Tigers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Follett fell 36-24 to McLean. While losing is never fun, Follett can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 840th, while McLean is ranked 361st).
Despite the loss, Follett still got an impressive performance from Alexia Dorris, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Dorris has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times she's played.
Follett's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for McLean, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-3.
Follett's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lefors at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Lefors is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for McLean, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Elliott at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
