Football Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

If Jefferson was feeling good fresh off their 46-6 takedown of Franklin last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Democrats fell just short of the McDaniel Mountain Lions by a score of 15-12 on Friday. The Democrats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mountain Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

McDaniel's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaydin Jordan, who picked up 141 receiving yards and one score. Jordan's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 108 receiving yards.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for McDaniel, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Jefferson is set to challenge their familiar foe Grant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, McDaniel will face off against rival Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
