 Galesburg was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They lost  14-4 to the Quincy Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Galesburg of the  19-10 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  last Thursday.
  Annalisa Gibbons was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Sahara Cato was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Galesburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Quincy, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.
 Galesburg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  12-0  defeat vs. Geneseo on the 30th. Quincy has also already played their next matchup,  a  14-1  loss against Moline on the 30th.
