Basketball Game Preview: Cousino Patriots vs. Dakota Cougars

The Cousino Patriots will square off against the Dakota Cougars on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Cousino comes in on five and Dakota on four.

Cousino lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Royal Oak, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's matchup. Cousino breezed past Royal Oak to the tune of 55-21 on Monday.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Dakota had no problem doing just that on Monday. They blew past the Falcons 74-53. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Dakota's win bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Cousino, their victory bumped their record up to 15-10.

Cousino beat Dakota 43-36 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cousino since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
