Baseball Recap: Yale Comes Up Short

Wellston hit Yale with a six-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 8-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 12-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Yale's record now sits at 0-5. As for Wellston, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Yale will head out on the road to take on Coyle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Bluejackets at the right time seeing as the Bluejackets are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Wellston, they will challenge Davenport at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
