Basketball Recap: Buckland Takes a Loss

Buckland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 62-35 loss at the hands of the Napaaqtugmiut Lynx. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lynx this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-46 last Saturday.

Leading Napaaqtugmiut to victory were Brooke Schaeffer and Connie Onalik. Schaeffer posted 16 points, while Onalik put up 17 points. The match was Schaeffer's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Olivia Booth was another key player, putting up eight points.

Buckland's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Napaaqtugmiut, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

Buckland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Napaaqtugmiut, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-19 victory against McQueen on the 19th.
