Soccer Recap: Killian Comes Up Short

Killian and Keys Gate squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Killian had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Keys Gate Knights by a score of 3-2. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 two weeks ago.

Samuel Dominguez and Diego Gazol scored both of Killian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Killian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9-1 record this season. As for Keys Gate, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-7-3.

Killian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Keys Gate, they will challenge Gulliver Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Gulliver Prep's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
