Softball Recap: Midland Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Midland and Bradford, and Bradford kept the tradition alive. The Midland Mustangs took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bradford Eagles on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

London Porterfield was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Addison Rooffener, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Midland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Bradford, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-3.

Coming up, Midland will be playing at home against Augusta at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bradford, they will head out to square off against Mt. Vernon-Enola at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
