Basketball Recap: Marion Takes a Loss

Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt an 80-27 loss at the hands of the Naples Big Green Machines. The Black Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Big Green Machines apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Marion's record now sits at 0-7. As for Naples, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-3.

Marion will square off against Sodus at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Naples, they will challenge South Seneca at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Seneca will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Naples surely won't give up without a fight.
