Softball Game Preview: Schulenburg Shorthorns vs. Bloomington Bobcats/Lady Cats

Schulenburg is a perfect 10-0 against Bloomington since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Shorthorns will head out to challenge the Bobcats/Lady Cats at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Schulenburg and 25 for Bloomington dating back to last season.

Schulenburg lost 16-6 to Flatonia on Friday.

Summer Livingston was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Angel Davis also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Bloomington scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Louise, falling 18-8.

Bloomington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mayte Reyes, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Schulenburg's loss dropped their record down to 2-19-1. As for Bloomington, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-17.

Schulenburg took their victory against Bloomington in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 17-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Shorthorns since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
