Softball Game Preview: Parish Hill Pirates vs. Academy of Science and Innovation Ravens

The Parish Hill Pirates will venture away from home to challenge the Academy of Science and Innovation Ravens at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Parish Hill and five for Academy of Science and Innovation.

Parish Hill came up short against Wheeler on Tuesday, falling 24-14. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (11), the Pirates still had to take the loss.

Eva Donnelly-Hardisty made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Sionna Houser, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Meanwhile, Academy of Science and Innovation didn't have quite enough to beat Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy on Monday and fell 22-21.

Academy of Science and Innovation's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Parish Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Parish Hill beat Academy of Science and Innovation 12-7 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ravens turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
