Baseball Recap: Notre Dame-Green Pond Comes Up Short

After flying high against Executive Education Academy Charter School on Thursday, Notre Dame-Green Pond came back down to earth. The Crusaders fell just short of the Bangor Slaters by a score of 12-11 on Monday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 2, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Jason Frederick made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with five RBI. Michael Wachter was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Notre Dame-Green Pond's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7. As for Bangor, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.

Notre Dame-Green Pond didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-1 victory against Moravian Academy on the 29th. As for Bangor, they have also already played their next match, an 11-7 loss against Jim Thorpe on the 29th.
