Belvidere North and Belvidere are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Blue Thunder will head out on the road to square off against the Bucs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Belvidere North will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Belvidere North's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Boylan Catholic as they made off with an 11-0 victory. The Blue Thunder might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.

Miley Dobbs and Ava Morris did most of the damage at the plate: Dobbs went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Morris went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jenna Yakey, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Belvidere North was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Belvidere didn't have quite enough to beat Wauconda on Saturday and fell 5-4.

Belvidere North's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Belvidere, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Belvidere North skirted past Belvidere 4-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Thunder since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
