Basketball Recap: Cajon Comes Up Short

Cajon saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell 73-65 to the Esperanza Aztecs. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Alex Van Otterloo, who shot 6-for-11 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds for Esperanza. The match was Van Otterloo's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Vincent Garza was another key player, putting up nine points along with eight assists and six rebounds.

Cajon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Esperanza, their record is now 10-4.

Cajon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-38 win against Calvary Chapel on the 27th. As for Esperanza, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-54 victory against San Dimas on the 27th.
