Softball Recap: Georgetown Takes a Loss

Georgetown blew East Clinton out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday East Clinton got their revenge. The G-Men fell just short of the Astros by a score of 7-5. The G-Men just can't catch a break and have now endured eight losses in a row.

Georgetown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Inlow, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Georgetown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for East Clinton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Georgetown will venture away from home to square off against Felicity-Franklin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.75 runs per game on average), something the G-Men will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for East Clinton, they will head out to challenge Cedarville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Astros' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
