Baseball Recap: Union County Takes a Loss

Union County lost against Winchester Community on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Patriots took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Falcons. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cole Cheatham made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That home run was his first of the season.

Union County now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Winchester Community, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Union County will head out on the road to square off against North Decatur at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winchester Community, they will challenge Muncie Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
