Campolindo has gone 8-1 against Las Lomas recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cougars will take on the Knights at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Campolindo is headed into Friday's contest hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 21-16 heartbreaker at the hands of Clayton Valley Charter.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Micah Parker and Jhadis Luckey. Luckey had a great game on Friday and rushed for 181 yards and one score. Meanwhile, Parker was balling out in the loss, rushing for 141 yards on only 15 carries.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed ten in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Sean Parker, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Las Lomas didn't have quite enough to beat Miramonte on Friday and fell 25-22.
Campolindo will have to contain Kane Sekulich as he made an impact in Las Lomas' last game. He rushed for 199 yards and a pair of TDs. Sekulich is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last five games he's played.
Las Lomas' defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Campolindo, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 6-2.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Parker and Sekulich. Parker just won't slow down this season and has averaged 90.3 rushing yards per game. Sekulich has been a dominant force too and has run in 16 touchdowns while averaging 160.1 rushing yards per game.
Everything went Campolindo's way against Las Lomas in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Campolindo made off with a 30-7 win. In that game, the Cougars amassed a halftime lead of 24-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
