Basketball Recap: St. George's Comes Up Short

After flying high against Kettle Falls last Wednesday, St. George came back down to earth. The St. George's Dragons lost to the Northwest Christian School Crusaders on the road by a 69-53 margin on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now lost four in a row.

Northwest Christian School got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Caleb Grant out in front who went 10-for-14 en route to 24 points. Another player making a difference was Avi West, who posted 20 points.

St. George's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Northwest Christian School, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-6.

St. George's does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northwest Christian School, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-46 defeat against Colfax on the 22nd.
