Baseball Game Preview: Garnet Valley Jaguars vs. Strath Haven Panthers

The Garnet Valley Jaguars will face off against the Strath Haven Panthers at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.

Garnet Valley is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since May 16, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against Malvern Prep, falling 8-1. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Jaguars' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Garnet Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Schaller, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Strath Haven came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Fightin' Tigers by a score of 4-1. Four seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

This is the second loss in a row for Garnet Valley and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Strath Haven, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
