Section 4 C Division III recap October 29, 2013
Chenango Forks extended the longest winning streak in Section 4 C Division III this week by beating Whitney Point, 41-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Blue Devils.
The Eagles made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,555 from 10,881. The improvement was the result of a 41-6 victory over Whitney Point last week.
Greene's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Joe Beckwith threw for 93 and 2 touchdowns and Shawn Brigham had 72 yards receiving. On the ground Luke Erickson contributed 103 yards. Lucian Austin helped Greene's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 16 yards.
The Trojans' dynamic duo of Beckwith and Brigham proved tough for Charles O. Dickerson to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Austin helped Greene's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 16 yards.
Chenango Valley's Bryan Pert and Gavin Ashman led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Pert has thrown for 582 yards this season, while Ashman has 23 catches for 305 yards. Trevor Hoffimier from Newark Valley leads the league in rushing with 475 yards.
Chenango Forks led the league in scoring this week after putting up 41 points on Michael Hakes' team.
