Baseball Recap: Morgan's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Morgan won against Cromwell last Saturday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Huskies narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the North Branford Thunderbirds 6-4. The win was familiar territory for the Huskies, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Benji Brown was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Zach Viens, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Morgan's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for North Branford, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Morgan will challenge rival East Hampton at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, North Branford is set to square off against their familiar foe Cromwell at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
