Volleyball Recap: Lockwood Triumphs

Lockwood posted their closest win since October 18, 2024 on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Hardin Bulldogs 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the LIONS, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lockwood was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-20, 24-26, 25-21, 15-2.

Despite the loss, Hardin saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ella Carleton had 37 digs and three assists. Carleton is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Lockwood's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Hardin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lockwood is set to challenge their familiar foe Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hardin will square off against rival Laurel at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
